Cheers to 38 years!

Oh my, what a weekend we’ve shared.

As we began our 38th wedding anniversary weekend of celebrations, I am reminded why we picked each other… because we have SO MUCH FUN together. Kids: that’s one of the keys to success: find the best match then cultivate, nurture, and grow together.

We kicked off the weekend with a lovely lunch hosted by my MIL high atop the city. The Park City Club never disappoints. We rounded the beautiful buffet several times, sipped deliciously crisp champagne, and our attentive servers were terrific.  Great stories were shared, promises of more lunches together, and more gratitude in my heart for this woman.

The FUN continued with several stops on our street to my total favs: see Mickey at the City Tavern then see Anthony and Terry at Sushi Ya.

Our gift to each other was a massage. We both thoroughly enjoyed the NOW massage https://thenowmassage.com/lower-greenville/

The place welcomed us with gently swaying wicker lights, then beautiful and artfully arranged woods, textures, scents, and smiles from the desk ladies. Our massages were outstanding and we highly recommend this place. We took the #3 bus from downtown and it was so easy!!!

After the massage but before the tingles wore off, we walked south down Greenville Ave to see what we could find. Oh, look! We ducked into the Halcyon coffee bar. They have new sofas and a well-stocked and professionally managed bar. So FUN chatting and people-watching. http://halcyoncoffeebar.com/location/dallas

Progressing south, we let our bellies choose the Greenville Ave. Pizza Compay. #GAPC  https://www.gapc.co/ OH MY!!! We devoured a GLUTEN-FREE garlic, basil, black olive, and mushroom pizza in record time. I highly recommend this place.

As we boarded our #3 bus (on Ross Ave at Greenville Ave.) we remarked how lucky we are, how lovely this city is, and how much FUN we’re having as Empty Nesters on this grand adventure.

I’m sure no one could have predicted our marriage path or the twists and turns it’s taken. I knew it would be a FUN ride as soon as I saw MarkSchnitzer jump over a chair in high school and propose to me eight years later.

Pro tip: Have FUN every day!! Find your person and go thru life happy.

Aloha🌺,

Denise
