Exploring more in Dallas ~ this is the Cedars neighborhood. This is where my mom, my aunt and uncle, and my FIL grew up. The school is a Dallas Landmark which serves Cedars. It was the Forest Avenue High School, and is now called James Madison High School. The blue house is where my mom grew up. The walkway between the two houses is where my mom remembers walking through to a garden in the back. She remembered the address immediately when I asked her. So much rich Dallas history. I’m so happy we drove through this lovely, tree-lined neighborhood. Keeping that history alive, one drive at a time.

For me, it’s fulfilling to see this, as I learn more about my mom’s life as a kid/teenager. It’s time to hunt for more good stuff…
