Never Done Before

I’m currently taking a fabulous course in Los Angeles through Landmark Education called Partnership Explorations. One of the assignments is to document “Never Done Before” events. So far, I have documented eight and I’ll share them with you, including the big one I did today.

  1. ate horseradish
  2. ordered Prime Rib for dinner
  3. ate gluten-free Thanksgiving dinner
  4. attended a funeral in the mausoleum
  5. created and wore an outfit from a magazine example
  6. took a barre-dance exercise class
  7. ordered chicken for dinner
  8. took a photo with Santa Claus with my best friend since third grade

I ¬†invite you to do something you’ve never done before. It’s fun, liberating and empowering!

Funday Monday!

I started an exercise program again!! Yay!!! I took a barre-dance class at a local yoga studio. It was great! The teacher was fit and happy and TAUGHT the class! She was respectful, energetic and smooth. I can’t wait to return on Wednesday.

Then I found a gem: a Honda dealer with their own Express Oil Change center. So Rockii got an oil change and her tires rotated. Yay!

I ventured out into the shopping world again to see what I could see. I found a few items for my kids, and some new yoga clothes for my new classes, but nothing that knocked my socks off. I guess cyber- Monday trumped the malls and shopping centers.

Dinner with mom was great and we finished off our evening with yogurt.

A funday Monday for me…. I hope you had fun too.

Thank you for the everything!

What a fabulous Thanksgiving day!!!

We had a family day that was over the top wonderful! Mark, Emily and I went over to my brother and sis-in-law’s home. We chatted a while, then at the arranged time, we talked to Tara via Skype! It was great because we saw her and her French host family!

Then more family came over and we Skyped again with another cousin who lives in New York. I am grateful for technology.

Dinner was amazing: my brother and sis-in-law went out of their way to make over the top gluten-free foods for Mark and me! Yum-ee! I am thankful for their generosity and love.

I am grateful for my mom and dad; my uncles and aunts, cousins, nephew, daughter and husband all at the table tonight. It was perfect.

I hope you all had a lovely day of thanks and gratitude. Now I must go set my scale back 10 pounds.

P.S. Happy Birthday, Debbie

What are you thankful for today?

What are you thankful for today????

Well, I am thankful for my health, my family, my friends, my mother-in-law’s amazing generosity, my husband, my wonderful parents, my entertaining brother, the universe conspiring to my happiness, the family who is taking care of my Tara, the university who is teaching my Emily, Landmark Education and the opportunity to give thanks and show gratitude every day.

Stay healthy, happy and wonderful!

Guess who’s in town?

Three guesses and the first two don’t count!!!

Yes, our daughter Emily! She’s in town from college to share Thanksgiving with us. She said it’s her favorite holiday, so we’re going to show her a good time. We’re having a big Texas dinner with her Texas relatives. Lots of home-made foods, treats, great conversation and lots of love.

I’m over-the-moon happy!

Who’s coming to your Thanksgiving dinner?
